WHAT ARE OMBRE BROWS

Inspired by the ombre hairstyle trend, ombré eyebrows have become a significant trend in semi-permanent brow makeup. It offers the look of full, shaded brows with an added gradient effect – the ombre touch. Like all semi-permanent makeup methods, natural pigments are injected between the middle and upper skin layers. For the powder ombré brows, pigments are applied using a dotting method called pixelization, resulting in a 3D appearance. This procedure requires a specialized machine and a skilled, licensed permanent makeup artist.

The distinct feature of ombré brows is the gradient effect – starting lighter at the brow arch’s beginning and gradually darkening towards the tail, creating a fading illusion. While ombré powder brows fall under the powder brows category, they are characterized by this unique shading pattern. They can also be ombre eyebrow tattoos, powder brows, or micro-shaded brows. It’s essential to clarify with the PMU artist and view examples of their work to avoid confusion.

Ombré eyebrows are versatile, catering to various skin tones and brow shapes. Those with oily or combination skin will find this technique beneficial as the color remains more vibrant than other procedures like microblading.

The unique ombré technique offers several advantages. Firstly, ombré brows are Ideal for All Skin Types. They work well with all skin types but are a game-changer for oily skin. These brows remain smudge-free and vibrant, even when exposed to sweat or water. Another benefit is that they’re a Time-Saver. The daily ritual of filling in and shaping eyebrows can take time and effort. With ombré brows, your mornings become more effortless, letting you ditch that ever-present brow pencil.

Moreover, they offer Long-Lasting Results. While ombré eyebrows and microblading have similar longevity, ombré brows usually need fewer touch-ups, making them a more durable option. If you seek a long-lasting and low-maintenance beauty enhancement, ombré brows fit the bill. Lastly, ombre powder brows offer more Customization during the initial procedure and maintenance than microblading. Clients have significant control over the result. It has the power to give you A Complete Makeover. Whether you desire thicker, darker brows or want to highlight your natural ones, ombré shading does the trick.

If you’re considering ombré powder brows, you’re probably curious about how the procedure works and what to expect afterward. Here is an overview of the procedure and aftercare for ombre powder brows:

Consultation: we will discuss your desired style before starting the procedure. We will also analyze your skin type, coloring, and facial features to help you decide on the best hair eyebrow shape and shade.
Brow Mapping: Using various methods, your eyebrows will be mapped to achieve the most natural and symmetrical look. The shape is finalized based on your natural brow, bone structure, and facial features.
Preparation: Once you’re satisfied with the chosen shape and shade, a topical numbing cream is applied to the eyebrow area for a painless experience.
Ombré Powder Brows Technique: The ombré powder brows method uses a machine to work on only the upper skin layer. With the help of a single needle, small pixels are deposited into the skin, giving a soft, powdery finish.
Session Duration: The entire process usually takes between 2-3 hours. It’s recommended to have an initial session and a touch-up, which should be scheduled 4-8 weeks later at a additional fee of $150.00
Healing: As with any tattoo, ombré brows need time to heal, which can take up to two weeks. It’s crucial to avoid sun exposure and activities causing excessive sweating during this period.
Aftercare: Post-treatment, keeping your brows clean and hydrated is vital. Avoid direct sun exposure and heavy sweating for at least two weeks. Proper aftercare ensures the longevity of the treatment and reduces the risk of infections.
Follow-up Appointment: A second session after 4-8 weeks is recommended. This is to check the pigment retention and make any necessary touch-ups.
Long-Term Care: To ensure the longevity of the ombré brows, avoid applying skincare products like facial acids, retinoids, and anti-aging creams directly on them.

You can enjoy your ombré eyebrows for up to 3 years with proper care and following your PMU artist guidelines!

Ombré Eyebrows uses a traditional tattooing approach, which ensures longer-lasting results than most other procedures. However, certain elements can contribute to the quicker fading of the brows. For instance, exposure to sunlight and tanning beds leads to premature fading. It’s advisable to protect your ombré brows from direct sunlight. Additionally, individuals with oily skin or certain medical conditions may notice quicker fading. Physical damage, including exfoliation (both manual and chemical), should be avoided on the treated area.

A touch-up session is recommended 4 to 8 weeks post the initial treatment, allowing the pigment to settle into the skin. Touch-ups reinforce color and shape. Gently cleanse brows with a mild cleanser, avoiding scrubbing. Apply SPF 30+ daily to brows to prevent UV fading. Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, and retinol near brows, as they can lighten the pigment.

Use brow pencil/gel to highlight and perfect shape if uneven fading occurs between appointments. Do not tint or color the eyebrows, as it can interfere with implanted pigment. Apply natural oils like vitamin E/coconut oil daily to condition. For a sharper look long-term, get an annual color refresh. Proper care between appointments allows results to last 12-18 months.
